Prospective Students
The College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) has outstanding faculty (95% hold a PhD), state-of-the art facilities (3 Engineering buildings, a Computer Science building, and several affiliated research centers), a rigorous curricula (admission to the programs are competitive), and major industry partnerships (Harris, Disney, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, NASA-KSC, Siemens-Westinghouse, and many more).

The student body at CECS is diverse. A leading college for women in engineering, where women comprise 22% of the graduate student body. CECS is a magnet college for international students in that 45% of the graduate student body is international students. CECS ranks thirty-third in research expenditures by U.S engineering colleges and supports many teaching and research assistantship positions. Academic Affairs is the primary office charged with providing academic assistance on Graduate policies and procedures to graduate students within the College of Engineering and Computer Science(CECS). Academic advising for graduate students is conducted primarily by the faculty advisor in the program of study. Our mission is to provide quality guidance and service to students, faculty, staff, and the public through clear communication, concerned care, and creative solutions to problems. We help students with matters concerning college and university requirements, policies, and procedures and otherwise facilitate the student experience. Students use our services primarily by walk-in for routine questions and by appointment for special problems concerning policies and procedures.
